Hardtop owners who have removed softtop
Thought about removing my softop since I never take the hardtop off. I hear there is a pretty good weight savings from doing so. Do any of you see a downside? More noise? Ugly hole seen from the back window...

the cr version has no soft top, only a nice fiberglass tonneau and the hardtop. there isn't a hole when you remove the soft top. I believe you save about 100lbs (give or take several lbs). I would assume the only downside is the hassle to put back the soft top if you choose to do so lol. there shouldnt be more noise with the soft top removed.

Makes it a whole lot lighter, better gas mileage. I do miss cruising top down.
Soft top frame and motors weigh around 60 pounds. There is a tray under your soft top, also there will be a little bit more noise coming from the rear but nothing too crazy loud.

I installd a Hard Dog 4pt cage and have partially removed the interior for track use. I believe you can pull the soft top then replace the interior pieces including the tray, so should get much louder at all.

My softtop is still in... I've been bouncing back & forth on the idea of removing it. I think if I were to remove it, I'd want it back in. For now, it's staying put.

You definitely will loose the options of open top during the summer and hard top during winter. I would disagree with the removal of the ST
