Default Hardtop Installed! WOW!

I had my hardtop installed today. When I picked it up, I was amazed! My car looked completely different. I love it! It looks so good. That HUGE glass rear window is so nice. And from the inside it looks much nicer too since it is all smooth now. I had the rear window tinted right after I left honda and now it looks perfect. One of my friends said it looks like a mini-Viper GTS! I will try and take pictures tomorrow, because I know there are not many if any red S2K's with hardtops out there.
Thanks,
-Brandon

Cool!!!

Definitely post as many pics as possible! For some reason, red hardtops are incredibly rare! Can't wait to see it...

What did the dealer charge you to install the hard top?

They kinda pulled one on me.
They said it was $2990. I told them I can get it for $2790 from H&A. He said he couldn't go down any more because $2790 is what they pay for it. Then he said install was like $250-$300. I was ok with that. SO they rang me up and billed me $3240 and told me they would call me when it was in to have it installed. I picked my car up yesterday and asked for my keys. The lady said that would be $288. I asked the manager(a fellow S2000 owner and now somewhat friend of mine) and he said that the $3240 was just for the hardtop AND tax and the $288 was install. So I had to pay that too. THen I paid $50 to have the rear window tinted.
$3240 + $288 + $50 = $3578!
Kinda pricey, but honestly, I now feel like I have two different cars. It's really amazing what this hardtop does for our car.

How much trouble is it to take the top off and put it back on as the weather changes? Are there any permanent fixtures/holes for mounting?

I think the tops that I have seen look awesome. Looking forward to the pics of the red one.

Barndon-

congrat's on the new top. my dealership had a new '01 that hte owner was having the top installed on and it looked great. i didn't get a chance to sit in the car (being mndful of how i'd feel if some clown was sitting in my car while it was at the dealership) but it sure looked great.

it sounds like the dealership pulled a bit of a fast one on you as far as the price is concerned. that sucks. when are honda dealers going to realize that a little bit of good will (i.e. not being crap bag liers and telling the truth and sticking to it) will go a long way towards making the owners happy?

finally, look forward to pictures.
