Hard Top!

Helllllllllllllllll nah....the convertible factor of this car is like an exponent over a number. Sure driving with the top on is still fun, but when you drop it down it becomes fun^2.

I wouldn't put the hard top on during summer, if I had a hard top.
that is just too waste the top down driving fun in mid-summer night
I still deciding should I get the hard top in southern california or not

now keep in mind i haven't gotten to a full summer yet, but i really like my hardtop, and see the benefits in noise reduction and temperature control. it's warmer and quieter and my stereo sounds better - in the summer i expect it to be cooler (once the a/c is on) and the sound benefits to be the same. does that mean i won't take it off? of course not - but i think it'll see more time on (roadtrips are sooo much less tiring) than some people may prefer.

Everyone's different. It's always summer here and I generally keep the hard top on most of the time during the weekdays. On the weekends, I usually take it off for top down cruising. I like the way it looks with the hardtop on. I like the fact that I can park anywhere and not worry about someone slashing my top to get into my car. I also like the fact that the road noise is a LOT less with the hardtop on, and I can enjoy my stereo better. I would take it off more often during the week, but it requires two people or a hoist, since I don't have a hoist, and my wife works when I want to go out cruising during the daytime on weekdays, I don't really have a choice but to keep it on.

It's always amuzing to see others opinions and reactions to certain features etc. I've owned Porsches and Corvettes prior to buying the s2k and bought them all for one reason, because they were sports cars. All have been noisy and uncomfortable...actually, the s2k is quiet in comparison.
When Honda first came out with the hardtop, I thought very seriously about buying one, but then decided against it for 2 simple reasons. (1) It takes two people to put it on and remove it and (2) If you're going on a trip, you're stuck with the thing no matter how nice the weather. Since I don't drive mine in the rain, it's extremely rare I have the top up...if it's cold, I'd rather throw on a jacket and crank the heat up another notch...Everyday I see BMW and Mustang convertibles with the top up (in So Cal) and find myself asking why in the hell didn't they just buy a hardtop...
