i was wondering, i jus got a license and i was wondering which car i should get, i been looking at some nice s2k but then the problem is i don't know how to drive stick. Also the s2k has 6 gears, is it hard to drive a s2k? and can i also get one for around $13k? or mabe under with about 30k miles on it?
If you really want an S in the future get yourself a rear well drive car will less power to start with, I. E MX5. learn it inside out and then jump to some thing more like an S. Don't think moving from an MX5 to an S is an upgrade though. the S is not in the same league, not even the same sport to be honest!
Good luck with finding the right car

Well i doubt you'll find an S2000 for 13k. I learned to drive stick on my S and it's also my first car. I'm 16 and i thought these guys were crazy when they talked about how the rear end will slide and stuff like that. But anyway i'm lucky to not have crashed my car yet and i'm driving a lot more carefully. But on the other hand it's awesome to have an S.

noone else has the distinct impression this is a troll just trying to get a rise out of you?????
And if you believe me....BTW, I'm 15, don't plan on buying insurance, my parents are planning on buying me 2 S2k's (I happen to like 2 colors too much to decide), and oh yeah what are the first mods I should do.......

haha I think he's serious man...
The S2000 has probably the easiest clutch/transmission I've ever driven. That answers his original question... but the being 16 is a much larger issue.
I would never in a million years let my 16 yr old kid get an S2000 as a first car, even if they bought it themself.

It will be tough to find one that cheap wiht that low amount of miles. Good luck.
As for learning stick on the S, it wouldn't be hard. What would be hard is driving another stick after learning on the S. It is pretty much agreed by those in the automotive industry in the know that the S has one of the, if not THE, best shifter in the business.

tough? more like impossible.
I would guess a 00 in GREAT condition with under 30K is worth about 17K, give or take...and that's private party. kbb private party is 16,470. the area of the country will depend on whether the true value is more or less than that.

Yea a Miata MX-5, like a '97 or something, can be had for like 6 or 7 grand. Though, that's the 1st model, and HP is just below 120 (it is up to 140 for '99 and older, and the new '06s will have 160). I was considering one a while back. Though, coming from an EX-V6 Accord, the Miata is probably going to be slow.
Do try and get a stick though, regardless, so you'll be prepped to drive the S

s2000 start at 16k with salvaged titles, dont get mad at me for saying this but s2000's are not good for ppl without some profomance driving experance. its pretty fast in the straght anyone could go straght though, it's even faster in the corners and this is whats going to make you push it and then your going to oversteer yourself in to a curb,k rail, wall or a ditch.
my advice is to get a gsr or a integra type-r, that way you wont hurt yourself or destroy your car just having fun. s2000 are really fun but they oversteer really easy and break loose so you never know when its coming, therefore you have got to have some good reactions to deal with this.its like what they told me when i went to driving school if you see your car going sideways its to late to do anything.
