I doubt it will be easy to find a S2000 for $13k with 30k miles or less, unless maybe it's a salvage title. The S2000 is a blast to drive after you have learned to drive manual cars. The S2000 is my first manual tranny car, and I drove home the day I bought it. All I can say is that it was embarrassing dying at every red light and stop sign.

But you have to at least know the basic to driving a manual. My bro had taught me, but it was kind of hard at first, but after you've learned, you'll never want to back to a auto tranny, unless your stuck in traffic jams!!

Pretty sure no one knows how to drive a stick until they learn. 6 gears is no different from 5 gears in terms of operating. The car is not hard to drive. And you will not find one for $13k unless something is wrong with it. If that is your budget, I would not be looking at an S2k. There is more to a car's cost than the sticker price. Maybe you should call your local insurance agent and get a quote before you get all set on buying one..

If you just got a license, I would recommend that you learn on a less expensive car. Spend a couple of thousand on a really old automatic transmission Mustang or something, then spend a year learning how to drive in traffic, how to handle the car, and stuff like that without the distraction of having to shift at the same time.

After that year or so, you can learn how to clutch and shift, and buy an S2000. The year of driving experience will help you enjoy the S2000 without crashing it.

..don't think you'll find one for $13k. As for driving, it's not more difficult than any other car. Have fun.
