Some people buy a sports car thinking it will add joy to their life, only to find that it does not. I feel badly for them. ...But then again it's not my problem they didn't chose an S2000!

I knew that someday I would want a sports car, but for most of my life, I thought it was just a dream. My S2000 purchase was am impulse buy, and I really didn't know anything about the car when I got it. I now have a few other sports cars, but they are nothing like the S. I feel that the stars were lined up for me the day I bought mine and I got lucky.

Things were going very well for me financially and I was edge of buying a 2013 Porsche boxster s last year...but my marriage fell apart and, as a result, I had to set my sights "lower" and bought a more affordable sports car. But what i found is that this car experience has reinforced the notion that things happen for a reason. I truly don't think I would have been any happier with the boxster...as a matter of fact, the extra expense probably would have been bugging me each time I got behind the wheel.

Even though the boxster S is a nice car, I feel like it still will go the route of every boxster that came before it: eventually the looks will fade with time and the interior will become dated and old.
The s2000 is timeless.
Sorry to hear about your marriage, but like you said yourself "everything happens for a reason."

PS: Went to a car show today and there were roughly 800 cars. Guess what? Not one of them was an s2000. I was shocked, yet happy to see that our car is becoming rarer as time goes on.
