had anyone powdercoated stock rims
Hey guys, i always loved the look of the stock rims but wanted to do something new to them. I do not have lots of money for mods since i am a college student. I was looking if anyone had a pics of the stock rims powdercoated. Also i would appreiciated if i could get an estimate of how much it would be. I was think about powdercoating them a bronze to the same shade as mugen wheels. Thanx

I had my Volks painted, not powdercoated, for some reason a few shops out here told me that this was better?, anyway they look great we'll see how they last. the retail price is about 100 per wheel.

There are a number of folks who have done this in several different colors. Seems like most of them are in Houston for some reason.
Only non-black ones I've seen pics of are Sev's (up in Canada) which are Gunmetal.
I believe powdercoating is similar to glazing pottery where the color is literally in powder form and then baked on - makes the surface more durable and heat resistant - had my calipers powdercoated for this reason (but admit im no expert).
