Default had an accident on tuesday

Anyway so it was raining and I skidded off the road and hit a curb breaking my rear left side break disk in 2 along with the tracking rod which snapped and a few other bits. The break down guy said that the gearbox is gone too but the second breakdown fella said its just the back tyre and the connecting parts.

I checked the gear stick this morning and it was going into gear without me even putting down the clutch!!! this was when the car was off though !!!

it felt loose and was skipping into gear without effort like before

what does this mean? please

dont worry about it.... my car's drive side rear wheel was yanked off!! had to replace the entire suspension on that side. just let a mechanic look at and see what you need to replace. then go to "want to buy section" and what post what you need. your gearbox is in the front not the back so nothing is wrong with it. its normal for the stick to move into gears if the car is off. although your rear differential might have been damaged..but since I have no problems with my rear differential so i highly doubt yours has gone bad. good luck

Gearbox is fine. You can row through gears with the car off... even without the clutch.

Do some driver training and slow down in the rain.

The S2000 is engineered to have breakaway points. Replace the suspension bits, get an alignment and be careful out there.

I would have a frame check done also just in case.
