I hate to say that every indicator so far, whether the promotional videos, his forum posts, customer reviews, etc. have been that he is unprofessional, unreliable and an asshole.

I am disappointed to hear about another person who got swindled by him. I suspect we will continue to hear stories like this for a while longer still.

The strange thing, Mikey, is that in person Brian does not act like that much of a hardass. You can definitely tell the difference between things messaged between he and the Mikes, though. One of them has no grasp of common English whatsoever. If only I'd saved the pathetic MySpace messages, you'd have something to laugh at.

The user on SupraForums, 2JZRX7, contacted me via the forum to try and track Brian down to find out about his car. Brian directly told me that it was "not a priority at the moment".

Wow.

Yeah I suppose people do have different online personalities and real live ones. Guess he's the same way. Maybe that's even worse that he's so sneaky and friendly in real life, you get tricked into thinking the best.

Soon as I saw my first video of 50/50 Racing's project car and there he was shirtless on camera, I kinda had my doubts about whether we were looking at a chop-shop style operation run by some sneaky characters Easy to look back and say that now I suppose.

So if your Supra's gone now, should we be expecting you to pick up an S soon? I know of a guy who can swap a 2JZ motor into it for you if you're looking for a little more power... wait

I did, man, I really thought he hung the moon. He was one of the only men I know in this area who wasn't a total ass-tard to me because I was female, and the fact that I was around a motor I know so well again sort of clouded my head, I guess. After I wrecked the Supra, I was really desperate to belong. I know it's sappy, but hey, now I know where friends get you. Won't be needing any more of those.

Brian, by the way, is always shirtless. It's his "uniform". At first it was funny, but in retrospect... well.. ever seen COPS? Always some shirtless dude on there getting dragged out of his house with beer bottles everywhere and a girlfriend named Lurleen screaming "BABY I LUH YOU!" Yeah....

As for the S2K, I'll politely decline. I've driven both a stock one and a super-nasty turbo one, and I'm just not into them. I've got a 99 Z28 now, and I'm perfectly happy where I stand. They ARE nice cars, though. I'm a fan of the dark blue they came.

I would just say don't be friends with jackasses...though it sounds like he didn't always act like that, so what can ya do. Just a bad seed.

at the COPS comment. Seems very suited to the videos I've seen in his driveway and garage.

LSV8 swap into an S is in progress right now, so you can have a little of both worlds if you like. Though I wouldn't recommend a Honda motor in a F Body or anything...though I'm sure Brian could do a bang up job with it

BANG sure is right. As for the bad seed remark, you'd think I'd really know how to spot them now. I knew in my gut something was a little off, but it was easier to believe them than start asking an assload of questions. It wasn't until I separated myself from it that I said, "Err.. wait a second."

I actually wanted to drop an LS1 into my Supra for the longest time, but I eventually found a turbo manifold that wasn't 70537161893 billion dollars, so I had intended to go that route. Unfortunately, my car had other ideas, and committed suicide before I ever got that far.

As far as the S2K, it's just not for me. It's way, way too compact, and I don't like the seating arrangement. I wouldn't mind having one as a little zip-around car, but it definitely would remain stock (mostly.. I/H/E and wheels). No disrespect meant, of course. Just not my cup of tea.. but hey, at least I admit it instead of buying one and trashing it.

Sorry, way off topic.

Kristene,
I know exactly how you feel about being deceived by a friend, Proctor and I were friends and I think he screwed me worse than anyone, with my 2JZ S2000. I could tell the story but honestly it would take about 2 hours to write. Lets just say that is has taken me almost $4,000 so far to get mine in good shape. The car is incredible now after taking it to 2 different shops to fix all the stuff that was wrong with it. Remember the $275 boost controller that you brought to his house for the Yellow 2JZ S2000, well he hooked it up wrong and fried it and it has never worked, so I threw that $275 down the drain. It really sucks when you are "Good" or at least think that you are good friends with someone and you get screwed and then watch them screw everyone else to.
