I got the game too. It is so different than GT2. I am getting my licences right now. The graphics are a huge improvement. Now my life is dedicated to gym, sleep, job search, GT3 and S2000 forums.

 

It's not out in Australia yet, launch has been postponed to somewhere in early August 01 ... Unless someone wants to rush and get it from the States, hah! I've got the Japan NTSC version anyway ... Don't like to play Japanese games in English.

 

The spoon sports s2000 handles very nicely. I take the Vette z06 (stock) while my friend, who is just learning to play, takes the spoon s2000. The s2000 takes the vette off the launch (too much wheel spin for the street tired vette) but the z06 walks right past it on the straights. But whats funny is watching both cars go into the corners... the vette looks like a pregnant whale trying to follow that s2000. The ss2k's cornering speed was 10-20 mph faster than the vette on all corners.... of course the Vette C5r is a different story... this game is a lot of fun... I just wish real life was like the game... I bought a air filter and racing exaust for my white s2000... 268 hp .... next up... stage 3 turbo!!!

this is funny but i got my s2k on there and i have a stage 3 turbo
racing exaust
custom lsd
custom tranny
racing flywheel
3 plate clutch
port and polish
engine balancing
carbon driveshaft
sport brakes
sport tires
stage 3 weight reduction

but for some odd reason this is what i get
450hp
39.6 on torqe
i believe that's a bit off
as i should have around 390 for torqe

top speed is 221mph the car still has some revs to go but not enough torqe to continue raising the speed
i think i need to raise my ratio on the 6th gear a couple of points
but i have b,a,ib, and almost ia! i have the last test on ia to complete and believe me that's no easy task
even if i set all my stuff back to stock i still only get like 36.2 for torqe
odd huh
the only things i can't turn off are port and polishing and engine balancing
but i think the port and polishing is what caused my torqe to get an off reading
also all forms of NA turning reduces my hp
which is messed up
but seeing as i'm not a NA engine anymore i guess that makes sence as i'm using turbos
dunno maybee someone else as noticed this issue

GT3 fans... I'm seeing some glitches in the game and I wonder if
it's just my machine/game....

During car selection in 2 player arcade mode.. sometimes there
will be a small block of broken graphics... it's usually at where the
car graphics are... (mid left or mid right)...

Also when selecting a moded car from garage in 2 player arcade
mode... it doesn't show the true moded hp... but instead it
shows stock hp...

Anyone experience this??

 

you need to have i-link to play with others with modded cars....

 

Really?? You can do that with two player mode back in GT2...
just load your home/guest garage...

I mean... the car does perform like a moded one (ie accelerate
much faster than stock) during the play.. but when selecting it
from the list... it shows only stock hp...
