Just gauging how tough the dog teeth are on the S tranny.
For the people who have more than 10, has the grinds stopped for any period of time?
Also include:
Tranny Fluid Used:
Weather Condition common in grinding:
Gear: (mostly 2nd I am guessing):
Taken in to Dealer:
Car or your fault mostly:

i only grinded once at around 500 miles from the 1->2 shift(knock on wood). it was 100% my fault, i didn't have the clutch in all the way. my car has a little over 1000 miles now.

All low rpm grinds for me: averaging one in 1000 shifts into 2nd.
Tranny Fluid Used: Honda MTF
Weather Condition common in grinding: Various, but the heat lately doesn't feel good
Gear: All 2nd gear on the upshift, low rpm.
Taken in to Dealer: no, can't reproduce it so can't do anything about it
Car or your fault mostly: 80% car.
This damn 2nd gear is the only thing taking away full enjoyment of
I rather leave it parked now since it can't grind when parked.

Trust me, I don't enjoy grinding my gearbox.
I don't grind in my frineds' s2ks, and I never had a grind or any notchiness in the dealer's demo s2ks during the countless test drives I had.
Basically my synchroes don't seem to work very well. I get a lot of mild grinds, but sometimes the tranny is butter smooth, which is what all the other s2ks I've driven felt like.

Grinded 2nd many times with OEM fluid.
Usually happens when the car or the temps are hot. ie- When the car has been in stop and go traffic for a while or when temps are 80+.
I'd have to say that it's mostly the car's fault. It's happened on upshifts and downshifts to 2nd. Maybe I have bad synchros in 2nd already, who knows. I plan on having it looked at soon at our shop.
