well, I guess it doesn't really matter at this point since it wont help me get out of the ticket.

 

I hope that is just a Florida thing. Radar detectors are illegal here in Virginia but at least they won't pull you over for 6 over! I've never heard of anyone I know getting ticketed here for less than 11 mph over.

 

its hard to say what cop could/would pull you over for...
on the ticket there is an option for officer to check off if the "speeder" is going 1-5mph over.

a few years back one of my buddy got ticketed because one of his plate bolt fell and the plate wasn't display correctly.
If I remember correctly, my buddy told me the officer put "improper display of plate"


so bottom line if they want to get you, they will find a way.

 

I just got a speeding ticket earlier this week too, going 81 in 65 (traffic was about 75 ish and pretty light) passing a SUV cause it was blocking my view. I was gonna go back to 75 after passing him but cop got me at 81 lol. I've been driving 0-2 over the limit now, can't afford a 2nd ticket.

 

I got a speeding ticket 2 weeks ago, clocked 89 in a 65...

I pulled over, took keys out of ignition and on the dash, hands on the steering wheel, and asked for permission to take them off. Called him sir/officer the whole time, and was respectful. He came back with a ticket for doing 75 in a 65 because, in the cops words "You were extremely easy to work with, and respectful. I don't want your penalty to be detrimental, but you did break the law." "I completely understand officer, thank you for working with me."

You get what you put out, and the way a lot of you speak it's clear you put out a lot of attitude.

get a lawyer. It was plead to "improper equiptment" paid fine and court costs, no points, no speeding infraction,

here is something very close to what happened after pulling over.
he walked up to the car and just ask for license, registration and insurance. then he walks off with it and came right back and said "by the way, I pulled you over because you were going 60 in 45" I thought to to myself, "60?" and said "oh ok".I didn't want argue with him about that because I know it will only get worst I argue...

I think I am pretty safe to say if he had a computer to look up my driving record he would given me a break. (motorcycle cop)
