Got My Suzuka Blue Badges from Ricks!!
#41
I've been without email and web access for two day I'm on vacation in NC), so sorry for not posting sooner. I haven't seen the badges on a blue car, so I can't comment on the match, and I can't rely on photos. But if the color is off as much as you've all indicated, there are only two possibilites:
1. We were provided the wrong color paint (we had a very hard time getting Suzuka blue samples, and someone finally mailed us one, which we assumed was correct but might not have been).
2. Our manufacturer did a poor color matching job (this is highly unlikely, since they matched all the other badge colors --red, yellow, Silverstone -- almost perfectly to the samples we provided).
Whatever the case, once I can determine how the mistake was made (next week, when I return from vacation), we'll get correct color badges into production immediately. If you're happy with the color you have, fine. If not, you can email us to request a refund or to let us know you want replacement badges in the correct color.
Sorry for the screw-up. But you know we'll make it right.

I knew it was a mistake!!
Thanks for getting back to us about this. I'm sure many people are giving "sigh" of relief. I for one will be happy to wait for the color corrected badges.
Would you like us to mail you back the ones we have?
Thanks for your help!!!

Rick I am not happy with the color and mine are on the car. What is the best way to remove them. I am not looking for a refund but would like the new badges when you make them to swap out. I would be glad to pay a reasonable handling and shipping charges to swap or replace the ones I have. If you have removed them before let me know how to go about it. Does the standard dental floss and solvent method work as it did for removing the stock badges? George

"...you know we'll make it right." - Thanks Rick. I knew you'd come through for us. I'll wait for the replacement badges with the correct color match.
After thinking about it, the color on the badges sort of resembles the interior color of the car. What do the rest of you think?

I ordered touch up paint from H and A in May, and I still don't have it. Can't get any from my local dealer, either. Maybe I'll have a good sample after the body shop paints my bumper.

After living with them for two days, I couldn't stand them any more. Ordered carbon fiber JDM badges which look absolutley awesome. I guess I'll try and get a refund... oh well. PS my wife, told me they looked good when we both knew they did not. I am sure these badges have the wrong color.

GeorgeP,
Yes the dental floss and solvent method works fine.
We're planning to put the correct badges into production this week, provided I can get a correct paint sample. We will cover shipping and no one needs to return the old badges. Just keep them as a souvenier.
Everyone who ordered blue badges will get a free replacement set when they're ready.
