Got an '06?

Got an '06?
hello all,
If you have an '06 and you've installed an aftermarket exhaust, did you have any problems getting it to fit? The reason I ask is that I saw a post from 2QYK4U in the "UTH changes on the 06 S2000, what makes it different from 00-05's" topic that indicated that he had some problems.
Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to put all the experiences of my fellow '06 owners in one place for future reference...
Thanks!
Ed

Honda changed the exhaust channel on the MY06 S2000. It is completely straight; PY S2000s must have had a couple of bends in the exhaust channel because the b-pipe itself has two bends in it. So, when I got my Invidia exhaust, one of the bends in the b-pipe conflicted with the straight exhaust channel. I ended up paying $250 to have the b-pipe custom fab'd.

Looking under my '04, the exhaust channel looks straight to me. Not hardly enought real estate under there to do it any other way.

I can also confirm that the exhaust channel is different on the '06 along with some other things in the undercarriage.
As I have suggested in another thread, can someone please post full undercarriage pics of pre-06 vs '06 so we can compare?

So, is 2QYK4U is the only '06 owner to try an aftermarket exhaust so far? I think dead-bird might be on to something about checking part numbers; I have to drop by the dealers for one of those damn phillips screw plastic clips, so I'll ask the parts guy for the numbers for the '04, '05, and '06 B-pipes and see whether Honda thinks there was a change (and when it happened). I'll let you know what I find out...
Thanks for the good information!

Well, I talked to the counter guy at my local dealer's parts department. He checked his eight *feet* of shelf space dedicated to clips (!) for the clip I busted putting the alarm's hood switch on my '06, and found that the little plastic phillips-head screw in clip is special to the S2000, and would have to be ordered for $4 a pop thank you very much.
Anyway, I then asked the guy to check out the part numbers for the B-pipe in the '06 and the '05. They're different. He said he really had no way of knowing why the two years had a different part number for this part and, unlike an autoparts store, they don't have any cross-reference information, so there's no way of determining compatibility between any two model years -- either the part numbers match (and are compatible), or they don't.
So, I guess it's gonna take someone getting an '05 up on a lift and taking pictures, and someone else doing the same for an '06. I'm certainly game to do my part in solving this mystery -- does anyone in my area have access to a lift so I can take some pictures?
