Default Good Price hard for a OEM hard top

Whats a OEM hardtop worth? My stealership quoted me 3750$ for a brand new one shipped. I also found someone with a used oem hardtop+hardware but w/o defroster for 2830$ shipped. Im thinking of buying the used one or maybe I should wait for a better deal? any thoughts are appreciated.

Your dealership most likely won't be able to get you one. A lot of sites have them listed but no one has them.

Personally, I would go with a used one as long as it wa in good condition

is 2830$ for a used good condition hardtop worth it?

They go for about 2500-3000 used. Anything less than that I would consider a great deal. 2800 is right about average.

Considering they do not make them anymore it changes everything as far selling them. How much is it worth? To some its priceless youd have to kill them to get their hardtop. If you want one now is the time to get one if you can find it cause I have a feeling in the next few years the prices of a nice oem are going to skyrocket. Back to OP, cheapest I've seen one go for was 1800 and that was actually a dealership selling leftover stock. How did you get a quote on a new one?

Many dealers will tell you that they can get one for you and then a few days or a couple of weeks later tell you they are no longer available. I went through this five years ago so you can imagine what it would be like now.

This price is less than I paid years ago. I'm thinking it might be too good to be true. If this is a used price, I would consider it fair.j

Funny thing is when I read your title it made sense to me. Good prices are hard to find and it's not gonna get any better so in my honest opinion if an OEM ht is something you want to invest in sooner or later... do it sooner. That price isn't too bad if it's still in good condition.
