Good price for a 2004?
Just curious what prices the 04's have been selling for? I see them listed anywhere from $19k-$23.5. Mileage I'm sure plays a little bit of a factor but I'm wondering what they actually end up selling for?
Has anyone either bought or sold theirs recently who could comment? I know the market in general is a bit soft, but with spring right around the corner maybe it's supporting the prices a little? I would think the 04's by now have suffered the majority of their depreciation as well.
I'm specifically looking for an 04 with lower miles. (15k or so)
Any help would be appreciated.

Dealer. The car was returned at the end of a lease, the Honda dealer decided not to keep it and sent it to auction where it was purchased by a used car dealer. My broker purchased and imported it to Canada for me. The price above is what my broker paid. He said most cars at auto auction (mostly lease returns) were selling for around 18,000-19,000 with low miles in good condition.

Here in So Cal I bought a black/black 2004 with 36k miles (little higher than what your target sounds like) for 20k total out the door, originally listed at 21.9k through a wholesale dealer. This was at the end of December 2007.
I looked at around 7 different cars over a month at various dealers between model years 2003-2005, and was surprised at how they were very beaten up for the price, or simply highly priced to begin with (I was looking 20-25k, and the best of the bunch were all at 24.5 or higher, and in the 2005+ range). When I found the one I ended up buying it was a clear choice based on condition/mileage/price/clear history and I'm still not regretting the deal.
I think the overall price through dealer is higher here in San Diego area. If you take a couple of weeks to watch listings/market in your area, I definitely feel you can pick up one in your target for the 19k end of that range. If you're able to go private seller, even moreso.

I actually bought a new 04 when they came out. (Silverstone/black) But I was naive to think it could serve as my daily driver. I ended up selling it 3 months later, on here no less. Now here I am 4 years later looking to pick up another 04 like I had, but as a second car this time around.
I've been looking at an 04 with 9000 miles asking $23k. I'm thinking now that's probably a bit high from what I'm reading here.
I appreciate the help so far and look forward to being back in an S.
