For those who don't know, Engineering Explained is a popular youtuber who sold his STI for the S2000.
He often times will go into different engineering and technical details about specific cars, and now he personally owns a 2002 S2000. Check out the video, I learned a few things after watching this.

The funny thing is I discovered his sight while I was researching the Miata. Ultimately I decided to pick up an AP1 and it looks like he did too. The Miata is, without doubt, the greatest practical sports car available right now--but the S2000 is more interesting and increasingly rarer.

While I was aware of the fiber reinforced metal cylinder liners, I didn't know that the carbon fiber was mixed with aluminum.
I always thought that the aluminum wear numbers in my used oil analysis were from pistons and the head, now I know that it's from the cylinders too. Cool.
