good deal for a 00 $9200 ?

$9200 is fair, but think of it this way. Get him down to $8500 and then you saved yourself $700 to re-do the interior, etc.

Cyclon does great work. I really want some items from him

he is not going any lower, i tired. and the local honda dealer said $177 for compression and leak down test and they look over the car. Is this a bit pricey?

and the compression / leakdown test should tell me if the engines (valves and springs) are still good, right?

Don't bother with the dealer. Post in your local sk2i forum (SoCal maybe: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=16) and ask for a recommendation of a respected shop in your area. Or ask if there is a local member with the skill and the tool to help you look at the car and do the compression test...buy him lunch.

I'd also recommend getting the alignment checked before you buy. Cheap and easy way to find out if you've got suspension damage or a bent frame.
