I know, but I just need something that works, i only drive my car on the streets and don't really do any hardcore braking or anything. Just want less dust.

ap1's dust way less than ap2, for the street their good enough,
also referring to the brake fluid level being the same it actually changes slowly, as your pads wear down the caliper gets pushed in more, so the fluid gets a little lower,

incubus, did u change just the fronts or should i change all four at once?
I only changed the fronts. The rears aren't used as hard as the front, so a) They give off less dust, and b) They'll last much longer.
With an '04, if you haven't changed the rears, I would probably just do it anyway for preventative maintenance.

The Top Secret Brake Pads are a perfect compromise for the brake dusting issue of AP2 pads. I know that on an AP2 within a week of usage the wheels become all black covered with brake dust. The amount of brake dust accumulation is just ridiculous in my opinion.
The benefits of these Top Secret brake pads are that they have a higher temperature rating and also a low brake dust compared to OEM. The braking coefficient is also higher with 0.35-0.42. I definitely reccommend these pads for an upgrade over OEM pads! Just slap them on and you don't have to worry about dust or the lack of braking in the OEM pads.
Here's a link to our promotional deal we're doing.

We also have a performance street package deal with some interesting parts!

This is all for street driving. For track driving, I would not reccommend any of these pads.

^ Never used Top Secret, but no I dont' think the price is justified for a street pad. Your OEM brakes can lock up your wheels just fine, and you will almost never be at the point where your pads are disintegrating from heat on the street (trust me doesn't happen, if it does you should be arrested). I would just buy the OEM pads for $80 and be done with it.
If you were to ever track your car where you will most defenitely have high sustained levels of heat , then you should think about upgrading. But, not necessary for the street.

More aggressive pads will eat rotors faster.
Higher temp rating means the braking will become more consistent after the temps increase. I liked this characteristic with my Greenstuff pads on my old AP1.
I cannot tell a difference in braking performance between AP2 and AP1 pads.
