Didn't have such a good today. And to top it off, this had to happen. My drive way is very very steep. I was getting ready to park my car on the driveway to give it a lil wash. Somehow I forgot to pull up the E-brake and just left it in 1st gear. The second I let of the brake, the car starts rolling back. Not smooth, but very jerky. By the time, I got my feet back in the car and hit the brake. The car was at the end of the driveway. Could any damage been done, and would my damn stupidity be covered by warrenty?

Was the car running? If the car was all the way in gear and the engine was off the car should not move. Most manual drivers use the 1st gear lock when parked to avoid the car rolling away if the hand brake fails. Sounds strange man.

I think it will move in gear if its steep - basically like jump starting...
I think you did nothing - if the car was off.
But I bet it would have made for ggod video!!

I can't see it doing any harm, forward or backward all its doing is turning over the engine.
Now if this was like my first dirt bike, then you would have problems, seems if you rolled backwards and popped the clutch the enging would start and run backwards.. Strangest thing I ever seen in my life..
I wouldn't sweat it.
