Default Going to install DC Headers

Just wanted to know any good tips on the install. I ordered a new gasket and bung ring to replace. What do I need to be careful of or buy before the install? Any help would be GREAT! thanks

The hard part is getting the stock heat shield off. The black one between the battery and the manifold takes some maneuvering, as there is a bolt near the firewall that has to come out. I wish I could remember the specifics how we got mine off, but just get creative and it will work. Get new bolts for the header

You can use the factory gaskets if you wish to do so, my install took about 2 hours and be careful when pulling the factory header out.
Let me know when it's done, I enjoy my header!!!

Also not remove the blk heat sheild first them remove the factory heat sheild from the header and there are the bolts from the bottom and I think 6 from the top, not sure though someone else did my install I just watched.

About how high off the ground does the car need to be? Could this be done with jackstands or is a lift a must?

Thanks

a lift would be perfect of course, but jacking it up on all fours will be ok too.
