Woodson, I noticed the good-natured smiley but, two questions:

1. Why does white automatically remind you of a rental?

2. Is the NFR an orange shade is bright, direct sunlight?

1) I don't know about San Diego, but pretty much all rental cars here are white.

2) Nope.

I recently bought a 2003 GPW w/tan interior. I live in the south so a light colored car is more liveable than a black on black car in the summer. White looks pretty boring on most sedans, but I think it looks great on sports cars, the s2000 in particular.

Does anyone know why Honda continually changes the interior color of the GPW? It's gone from tan, to red, to black, to black/red, just about every color combination.

Also, what color is the carpet of a black/red interior?

Personally, I've always felt that white cars showed dirt too easily, which is why I've never bought a white car (though I've had lots of white rentals). White isn't nearly as bad as black for that, though.

Great news! Thanks. I can't wait to wax the white ghost for the first time. Didn't Herman Melville have a lot to say about the color white in his novel, Moby Dick? Someone quote a few lines.

Chips are very noticeable on the front bumper, since the bumper is black underneath the THIN white paint. A clear bra might be a good solution.

This is my second white car and I must say it hides dirt awfully well. I haven't had anyone mistake my car for a rental. It's just plain beautiful. My tan interior shows more dirt than other combinations whic is it's only downside but since mine is mostly garage queen it's a non issue for the most part. I love the tan...it makes the car look more elegant.
