I found GM sychromesh to have a split personality. When I swapped out the stock Honda MTF at 10k miles, shifting wasn't bad, but the GM definitely gave it slightly smoother feel. After a couple months though, the split personality came into play. Sometimes when cold, the shifting was horrible, while other times it was a smooth as butter, better than the old MTF ever was. It continued like that for the next 22k miles until I swapped it out again (yesterday ). Some days it was difficult and not so smooth, while others it was like butter. Anyway, I switched back to MTF so I'll see how it goes.

GM synchromesh is whack sauce. I had it in my 00 si and all it did was inhibit my shifting which it harder to scratch a gear thereby making it feel like a positive aspect. get rid of it.
