"Glasspack" on Invidia anyone?
Hey all,
Anyone try this? I did a search and found a lot of "resonator" installs on Invidias, but no "glasspack". My local mechanic suggested the glass pack vs. the res because it will reduce the tinny rattling noise due to the straight-through construction...
Opinions, please... basically, he'd weld it between the cat and the Y pipe, replacing the actual (and useless) Invidia stock resonator.
Many thanks!

Is there any room for a glasspack to fit? I was thinking about it also on my skunk2 exhaust but becaust of the bends in the exhaust it doesn't seem like it would fit...

Yeah, he said he had several different lengths and diameters he could order and they would fit...
I am also considering adding a helmholtz resonator stub thingy before the cat and glasspack to reduce droning even more so and create a deeper exhaust note altogether...

I wouldn't waste time with a glass pack. They're cheaply made so the packing will blow out pretty quickly, especially for high revving F20/22 motors. I don't think they'll do too much for the drone either, probably just change the tone, not the volume.
Suggest you buy a used OEM exhaust (some guys have actually given them away, too big to store) and have your exhaust shop swap out the mid pipe sections. I did it on my Toda and the drone was greatly reduced but I still have an aggressive growl around town.
