I actually like the plastic window...it is larger than the glass.....I tinted it w/ static limo tint using one of xviper's mod ideas
_since it is installed on the outside it protects the plastic window.....it will not bubble and when the top is put up and down it does not have any affect....it last about a year....then just cut another one from the original template you made and your set for another year

My plastic window is very clear. Just TAKE CARE OF IT.
It will not crease when folding by using a simple $15 fix here on the site. Uses elastic and velcro to make the top fold properly.
Use a roof well mat! The rear roof well is hard plastic. When the top is folded, it bounces around in the well and damages the window. The roof well mat eliminates this "sanding" effect.
There are easy to use polishes for the plastic window that take 15-30 minutes once every couple of months. If you cant invest that much time for ride, than you may want to look at a Hyundai. (j/k)
As far as a hardtop.....I guess it depends on your climate. They are few and far between where I come from. Seems like your defeating the purpose of the car when you have to leave the top on for so long.
Enjoy my $.02,
Hockey
