Most states will give you a 5-15% discount on your Comprehensive insurance. Here in NJ it is 15%. Also window etching it yourself may not get you the discount it all depends on the insurance companies. When dealerships charge you for window etching its cause you are usually opening a registration to the window etching company. (Its like an added insurance policy over and beyond your insurance.)You are not just paying for the numbers on the window. That is what they are supposed to be doing. Hope this helps.
