Exclamation Getting dynoed next week..........

I got a dyno coing up next week since my VAFc arrive mondayand I already have harness, shoudl be sick since I have full bolt ons, gears and 05 diff

quesiton is...Where do you tie those rear support straps since we do not really have a tow hooks?

I'm getting my oil changed out tomm and I heard that could help out a little, kind of weir dbut I've seen people get small gains with new oil + filter. Also doing diff fluid since my gears are almost at 1k.

Drive is about 20min so car should be warmed up.

The gears won't gain you any hp. I know that for a dyno tune on a dynapac the dyno needs to be calibrated to the correct gear so it will read correctly.

If he dynos on a dynojet, you'd see hp gain since it's an inertial dyno. I assume the car accelerates more quickly (vs. stock), which the dyno will interpret as "extra horsepower". I don't think a dynojet can be calibrated for gears. You'd have to take that into consideration when converting to crank hp by using a lower conversion factor (e.g., 10% vs 15% loss). You don't see hp gains with gears on a load type like Mustangs or Dyno Dynamics.

Generally people dyno in 3rd but whatever you feel comfortable with will work. GL post up some numbers. Since there's one number allready out I'll throw out my guess as well. 215

Depends on the place, but I think 4th is closer to 1:1 on stock. Some places won't dyno in 4th or higher because of the greater wheel speeds (e.g., Comptech only dynos in 3rd). I usually dyno in 4th.

215 seems kind of low to me.
He has I/H/E,+VAFC;sholud be closer to 235,as stock AP-1 is around 200.

I to have noticed people with gears dyno higher, but in reality gears is equivalent to like adding 25rwhp or so but dyno wont show it youll just see it on your time slip
