GEARS?
What's the benefit to replacing the stock gears in the S2000. I own a AP1. Also, which gear set would you recommend and why? I don't plan on tracking the car, it's just a daily driver, in the summer. Thanks

If you want more thrust off the line, gears are a good way to get there, as long as you are willing to put up with the downsides.
I have 4.30:1 gears, which is perfect for the local autocrosses I sometimes compete in, but for a DD you'd hardly notice the difference at all.
You will get differing opinions on 4.55 and 4.77 gears, because different driving conditions, styles, and preferences are all that really matter in a DD.
For most people under most conditions, the stock 4.10:1 gearing is the best compromise.

I have the 4.77's, so far I really like them. If you do a lot of hwy driving not the best mod, but I just run my car for comuting to work and going around town so they work out perfect. It makes the car easier to dirve and it's much faster. If you are looking for more low end this is it.
