10500 would seem a little high to me, but apparently it's not. Man, xviper still has a way of helping out even after he's gone 9600 RPM doesn't seem like too much in that case. Plus, your car would have slowed down some and the clutch would have most likely slipped a little. I think 9600 is extreme worse case.

i think the first time u over rev, u should be ok, i see b series motors spin to 10k a few times, so i think our motors can take it once or twice, and if u got bent valves u'll know, hold the throttle steady at 2k and listen for poppin noise from the exhaust.

If that calculator is close to accurate then the rev limiter on my car happens at around 8500rpm, or between 62-63mph.

I stand corrected. The calculator is indeed close to accurate. The time I thought that the rev-limiter kicks in at 62 was not true, because at that time I was on WOT, and I guess the cluster speedo didn't update fast enough. Just tonight I slowly climbed up to 9k instead of WOT. The redline started blinking at 64, and rev limiter kicked in at 65.
