Default GD Cement Truck Sends Cement Chips Bouncing All Over Highway

I was flying low on Rt 80E (Southern Blvd.) which is a 2 lane highway on each side. Up ahead I saw a cement truck in the right lane, so I moved to pass him when all of a sudden his cement shute let loose and started to move back and forth violently, breaking up and scattering cement chips all over the highway. What a nightmare! It was raining cement all over my S2k. I rushed home to wash my car and discovered a small dent and a couple of chips in by front bumper. Luckily, that was the extent of the damage. I used some touch up paint to fix the problem. It could have been a lot worse. Watch out for those big damn trunks because they kick and spew shit all over the place.

Is GD the Co. name? If so are you contacting the company?

Not sure how it is in FL , but here commercial trucks are particularly responsible for crap that flies off. I remember speaking with a gravel truck driver some time ago and he noted that few drivers are aware of the responsibility, so they don't take time to cover the load of gravel very often. Not that your situation is the same, but you should consider speaking with them about the damages.

Sucks when this happens! Good luck.

If you got the name of the company then contact them and your insurance company. I had a situation with one of my Preludes when a semi lost a damn re-tread in front of me and it flew back and nailed my front bumper wiping out a foglight and taking out a serious amount of paint. I contacted my insurance company and they took care of it without it costing me a dime, and no, my rates did not go up.
