I stopped behind a commercial van today at a traffic light. I could see the driver and passenger craning their necks outside the van windows to look at the S2000. Finally, the guy in the passenger side jumped out and ran around to take a closer look. Fortunately, it's a very long red signal. I've seen a lot of S2000 staring, but never seen one jump out like this to take a peek.

Heh. I think it's time for all of us owners to keep a stash of autographed
pictures to hand out each time this happens.

Yeah, Ive already been on a 2-way street with the end of the street splitting into 2 separate lanes(one to go straight, and the other to turn) at a traffic light. Needless to say, there was a car in the turning lane 2 cars ahead of me. They were in the middle of the busy intersection getting ready to turn, but held up traffic to wait for me to go by giving me the thumbs up and said,"Yeah! Sweet car dude, rev it up!"

Nah...the car's the star. We're just the goofballs along for the ride!
It's still a nice feeling, though...yesterday we were parked outside a convenience store and a young girl was staring open-mouthed at our car like she'd been hypnotized.

Was washing my car yesterday and a 77' MG owner came over and drooled over the S. He said it was a beauty and classic, I just said, I hope to get her to be like your MG, 25 years later.

I've heard my share of people trying to figure out "what make is that" many times while sitting at stop lights, but one of the best questions I got was over this last holiday weekend when a guy on a bike sitting next to me at a traffic light asked "what kind of wheels are those and who makes them"...I was wondering WTF is this guy talking about because my car is stock.A half a block later I realized he was looking at my Rick's wheel badges and I suppose he thought the stock wheels were after market.

Funny you should say that. I was sitting outside at a Red Robin eating lunch one day when these rednecks were looking in the direction of my car. I said to my girl,"here we go again." So the kid walks about 100 ft. to look around, inside my car (i had the top down). Comes back to tell his Dad or Uncle, "not sure if its a Honda or Hyundai. It says S2000, but Im not sure if its one of those new Honda's or not." I could have killed him as he got into his Baretta wearing hid Dale Earnhardt jacket, but didn't want to sound brash or cocky correcting him. Especially doing so while I was eating.

A cop followed me into my parking lot last week (had me a little worried) to ask about mine. "I'm a Honda fan, on my 5th" and he had to show me his Honda key to prove it. He wanted his 6th to be an S. He hadn't seen a Suzuka blue before. I couldn't get rid of him to go back to work!
