Gas Tank!
okay... question:
does ur gas meter go down REALLY fast the first few bars and slow down towards the middle then fast again?? because im experiencing 30 miles in the first 5 bars.... is something wrong or is s2k's gas tanks shaped funny?
oh and im get about 200 miles on a full tank, driving mostly in local and moderate traffic

very common - www.howstuffworks.com - tells you why almost every gas guage in all cars, well, suck a$$.

hmmm im gettin about 200 on a full tank(well with 1 to 2 bars left)....
is this bad?? i just changed my airfilter recently too... any other ideas?
*note i do drive mostly local and traffic.... but does it effect the mileages that much?

City driving takes a huge toll on mileage. If you are filling up at 2-3 bars, you are probably only putting in 9 gallons or so. You're probably getting around 20 mpg. At least you don't have a 2004-05. The gas gauge on these are really wacked! The last 4-5 bars (there are lots of bars compared to early cars) go down in around 20-30 miles!

I typically get 260-300 miles per tank and I drive hwy and city miles with a bunch of spirited driving in between. Maybe my car is a freak but the gas guage is 95% correct at all times.
200 miles per tank seems really off. I would look into the issue if I were you.
