does ur gas meter go down REALLY fast the first few bars and slow down towards the middle then fast again?? because im experiencing 30 miles in the first 5 bars.... is something wrong or is s2k's gas tanks shaped funny?

I get about 230-240 per tank with some spirited driving in between. Unless you're vtecing at every light, you should get that checked out.

I have the exact same situation as you. It's totally normal. Don't sweat it. I usually get between 20 and 24 mpg and I drive like gas is cheap.

City driving takes a huge toll on mileage. If you are filling up at 2-3 bars, you are probably only putting in 9 gallons or so. You're probably getting around 20 mpg. At least you don't have a 2004-05. The gas gauge on these are really wacked! The last 4-5 bars (there are lots of bars compared to early cars) go down in around 20-30 miles!

Yeah, my '04 shows empty with 4+ gallons left. My '01 was much more accurate

I typically get 260-300 miles per tank and I drive hwy and city miles with a bunch of spirited driving in between. Maybe my car is a freak but the gas guage is 95% correct at all times.

200 miles per tank seems really off. I would look into the issue if I were you.

Thats what I typically get. I do both city and highway driving. With some spirited driving in there also.
