OMG you can't use Shell V-power in our cars! We have INLINE fours.
Lol, seriously though, It might just be all in my head but I swear I get better mileage with Shell > Chevron. Those are the only 2 I use.

Read an article in Car and Driver about Top Tier gasoline and bought off on it. Sadly, I live in Florida where our enlightened governor, Sun Tan Charlie, mandated that all gasoline in the state, at least my part of the state, contain "up to" 10 percent ethanol. Another government boondoggle by idiot politicians that, at the very least, are costing us a 10 percent reduction in our gas mileage. I for one am very skeptical of ethanol's long term effects on an engine. Not sure if or how the addition of ethanol affects the Top Tier Gas seal of approval on fuel sold in the funshine state.

i believe i've only used shell 93 octane gas with maybe three exceptions? those exceptions were:
mobil - once
chevron - once
sheetz - once
the sheetz gas caused my car to throw a CEL. it went away when i went back to shell, so i attribute it to crappy gas.
chevron is supposed to be "top tier" along with shell. i honestly don't think there's a difference in mileage or anything, but if there are more cleaning detergents in shell/chevron/etc, i'll use it over other gas. it's generally only a few cents more expensive, so what's the big deal?

I gas up at newer stations because new tanks contain less sediment. It is amazing how much EPA lets old tanks leak and contain sludge before the gas station is forced to replace them. Avoid gassing up if delivery truck is there as the tanks will be stirred up.
