Maybe because it costs virtually nothing to insure a beater?
Just because someone can afford a nicer DD doesn't mean they want to spend their money on that.

It's amazing how much people rag on others for their personal choices that don't affect the complainer in the least.

and like i said in my post... "BUT thats me"
i realize that people may not share my opinion. arn't we suppose to express our individual opinions? or else what is there to discuss. and since we seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum, lets leave it at that. we're both happy. yay us.

Actually you want a warm air intake.
For similar reasons a CAI "increases" HP (tho not so much on the S)
a WAI can help to increase MPG.
WAI ... hahhahahaha

got me thinking for a sec there hehehehhee

This might save you a little. Just stay away from cars with bumper stickers that read "Cash, Grass, or @ss, no one rides for free".

So how much $$ does that saves you per year? Have fun in your POS.
i have to drive 100miles round trip a day for work.. it saves me alot of money in gas, wear and tear. the S is boring on long straight drives. i dont see paying twice as much to get to work and have it parked in CA sun for 9+ hrs. both my cars are paid for already and bout to buy a 08 honda cbr 600rr with all that POS has saved me in money but i might be working closer and the cbr will save me even more money
each rides got its purpose and i try to use it to its fullest.. oh and tires for my S to get to work can cost alot since i did DD the S for a year and within 10k i needed new tires but gas wasnt that much in 06

you might have to explain this one to me. Cold intake charge = more efficient engine which yeilds more power. How could a less efficient combustion process from a warm intake charge yeild better mileage?
