gas saving tips?
hey guys i know that this isnt the MOST fuel efficient car but im trying to squeeze as much as i can. my car is fairly new and im wondering what rpm you guys are shifting at? or even speed? ive done the recommend shifting from our owners manual, 15 to 25 to 40 to 47 to 55? so im primarily int he city so i barely see 5th and 6th gear. what are you do you guys think? im currently getting 21 to 22 mpg, so im between 210 to 230 miles on a tank with like 3 gallons to spare in the tank. lemme know what you guys think? ive read people getting up to like 25mpg?

Use low rpms and large throttle openings. (Larger throttle openings mean less airflow restriction, which mean more efficient gas usage. Lower rpm operation means more complete burn of the air/fuel charge.)
You're getting relatively normal mileage for a primarily city environment.

Drive around in 6th gear, even at 40mph. You will get around 30mpg.
