gas mileage observations

First run of the tank not to empty or even near empty.
I got 20mpg. 5bars
Second fill use a little more of the tank and got 23mpg. 4 bars
3rd fill use it down to two bars and got 25mpg.
Of course my foot is getting heavier as i get more used to the
car also.
Warmer weather helps with the heavier foot.
I would consider my driving area to be 70% city and 30% highway.

One thing I noticed on my S's fuel tank gauge is that it drops from "full" rather quickly. 20-30 miles and I lose two bars. Far different from my Toyotas of the past that would do nearly 60 miles before the needle starts dropping.

My first bar disappears at 17 miles. I average 24 mpg with city/highway combined. I got 37 mpg once coming back from Reno to BayArea. I wasn't driving so that could be a huge factor. I bet I could get better numbers if I didn't drive like a "bat out of hell" but this car is too fun to drive.

I got about 29 one time driving through the countryside, because of rural police I had to keep my speed to about 70 mph (65 zone) with cruise. That was with the top down. My RSX-S used to get about 31-32 on the same trip so I think the S2k is doing pretty well 40 more HP and I think it's a little heavier.
Around town I get about 22-25 with no a/c, high teens with a/c, depending on VTEC activity.
