No no no... Not build up an N/A car. I was really speaking of bolt on stuff that would pump a little power. But for some reason this is the only car I seem to see that an exhaust does nothing, an intake does nothing. I mean maybe a header might do somthing, but bolt on's arent usually 1100+ dollars. Its not worth the money for the minimum gain you will get out of it. I mean if your going to go out and spend 5 grand on a S/C then only get 300 to the rear wheels, thats an aweful lot of money for a little bit of gain. That wont even put you into the low 12's

This car has been designed to extract about as much power as it can right from the factory and still be reliable. So NO, there is very little (cheap) you can bolt onto this car to make more power because the stock parts are already THAT good. PLUS, all the parts were made to work well TOGETHER!
Re: your comment about a S/C. You're telling us that 100 HP (50% increase) in HP to the wheels is "little" gain? You must hang out in the "flying car" circles. And nothing will get this car into the low 12's for even $5000.00. You'll need 3 times that to get the job done AND to be able to repeat it since any less will maybe get one run before the car breaks.
As been said before, if you were looking for straight line performance for cheap, you bought the wrong car.

I think the spare tire and jack can go.

If you can find "run flats" in our sizes, they recommend the tire pressure monitoring system.

XViper, I was offered a 5.00 Cusco final gear from one of my parts suppliers? Is there even one? I checked Cusco, but could not find one. He is in Japan on a very usual basis so I don't really doubt that one may exist, but I do want to see some sort of indication that this is even out cause it would really make most distance driving difficult. I think that most cars that Honda make are not really easy to attain horsepower besides what I've seen on the RSX. I think the best set-up I've seen is a super charger with a 4.44 gear. If that's not your style then tear down the motor and build the internals and bore it. Then that ends up costing a lot more itself.

R-tistik s2k, I have not heard of a 5.00 F.D. but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. I think even 4.77's would make this an almost impossible highway car and certainly with F.I. it would be a waste - you couldn't get all the power to the ground.

Intrepid175, that pricing for the monitoring system may have come down a bit by now. I'm just not sure. It depends on the application. I looked into it a while ago for my old Viper and I was shocked at the time.
As you may or may not know, each wheel must have a self powered sending unit installed. Then there is the 4 channel receiver that is needed in the cabin. But like I said, you don't "have" to have it if you want to take the risk.
