My friend was in town for some training and kept calling it a Miata just to be an ass.
Nothing to do with S2000, but a similar comment...

By buddy had a Nissan 300Z Twin Turbo back in the day when everyone was lusting after them...

His girlfriend used to always refer to it as her boyfriend's Fiero...

Burned him every time!
That's not really a burn, just incompetence.

My original title lists my Honda S2000 as a motorcycle. I told the lady Make, Model, Year. She asked for the style and I said "Two-door convertible" When I got the title, it was listed as a motorcycle. Kept it that way till I moved states.

A Hardly-Ableson pulls up behind me at a traffic light. Bike is loud, so chick on the back is talking loud enough I can hear with the top down. All they can see is the back end. I wasn't paying attention at first, but then I hear her say "Wow, thats kinda nice for Honda!", then she adds, "or is that a High-un-day?" (She is obviously looking at the H badge). I can see in rearview mirror the rider turn to her and confirm "its a Honda", just as the light changes and we all pull away.

Oh, one more. This was a while ago actually. Drove my car to my brothers house for a family picnic. No one in family knew I got it. No one else in family is a car person. At all. But they all have Honda's, a tradition I started decades ago when I convinced my parents to buy a new '86 Accord instead of the next domestic thing they were considering, and from then on they bought nothing but Honda's, and once grown my brothers and sisters all did the same. Parked in driveway. After a while I say to my 14 y/o nephew, "hey, go check out my car in the driveway". I had left the top down. After he comes back I asked him what he thought of it. He says "it looks like a Civic with the roof missing."

I guess to a non car person kid that is familiar with Honda's, that is exactly what it looks like.

I had some guy at a Burger King last night that was super excited to see my car in person (first one he'd seen up close). Just kept going on about it, asking lots of questions.

It's been awhile since I have posted here, anyways...

I want to meet a friend to eat lunch and right after I got out of my car, an older man (like mid 40-50?) approached me...

Stranger: "Hey, what kinda engine does this got? v8? v12?"

Me: *chuckled* "Haha, just a 4 cylinder sir."

Stranger: "Well I bet it pounds down like one, sounds great too!"

Me: "Thank you and I wish-"

Stranger: notices the Honda emblem "Wait, Honda made this?!"

Me: "Yes sir"

Stranger: "Beautiful car"

Me: "Thank you, have a good one"

I think it might have had something to do with the venue.

Some dude at starbucks asked me with an honest tone: "how do you like your nissan?" I left a $1.00 tip.
