Funny things people have said about your s2000

Having lunch at work with a buddy and a third co-worker comes to me and goes:
Co-worker: hey man you better go cover your car looks like it's gonna rain.
Me: what? (look to my buddy confused)
Co-worker: yea your car you don't have the top up.
This is when my buddy and I realized that he is talking about a yellow lotus Elise that is the parking lot that the owner always drives without the top. I always park far from anybody else to avoid dings.
Me: oh! Don't worry man. Not really worried about the rain.
Buddy: yea he can always buy another one.
Me: yea not really worried about the rain.
Co-worker: you must be rich then.
Eventually he left. My buddy and I just laughed at the entire conversation.

Another one from this morning. Leaving the house and cruising to the main road...little kids playing on their front lawn. They were shocked by the beauty of our S2000. Jaws dropped and eyes wide opened, gazing my S2000 as I cruised by...

I got my first Miata comment today.
Lady: Who's little blue Miata is it outside?
Me: It's not a Miata. It's a S2000.
Lady: Oh, it looks just like my Miata. I need to get some new wheels for it.
I'm thinking how on earth can you not tell the difference if YOU DRIVE A MIATA??

By buddy had a Nissan 300Z Twin Turbo back in the day when everyone was lusting after them...
His girlfriend used to always refer to it as her boyfriend's Fiero...
