They then built their second sports car, with an 800CC motor & obviously called it the S800.
What else could they call their next sports car, with it's 2000CC motor, but the S2000?
About this time the penny drops with all but the really dumb ones, that the name means 2000CC Sports car.

I have a coworker/'friend' that always has given me a ration of crap about my Hondas. now that I daily the S his new goto is the typical 'nice miata' lol. I usually fire back something about his general ignorance about cars. He drives a minivan so I know he's just mad that his wife won't let him have any fun.

My little 8 yr old brother when he first saw my s2000. He is not into cars but i love how he remembers the name of cars when i tell him what they are. I also have a sentra which he knows what it is but he likes calling it GT-R
Him: oh thats the car from forza 4
Me: yeah its a honda s2000 mono!. Do you like it.
(He knows i love car shows and sometimes i bring him)
Him: yeah, you should show off this one at car shows.
(Just shows he doesnt like the sentra as much as i do)

I had a date the other night and we got to talking about our respective vehicles while I was driving back to her place after dinner. She made the comment "It must be nice driving a Porsche all the time" I said, "Oh, its just a Honda." She looked at me with some disbelief as I pulled into traffic and blasted to redline a couple times. Then she said "Well, whatever it is, it's fast!" It is definitely fast compare to her non-turbo VW Beetle.
Best comments I have gotten besides the typical "Nice Honda." or "Nice Car."
