me and a family friend were walking together and i spotted a miata...
him: oh look. there's a car that's similar to yours
me: eh, that's a miata
him: oh, the cheaper one!
me: yeah
17 year old neighbor comes up to me while i'm washing my car, we talk about our cars (my s2k and previous 90 prelude si, his 09 civic coupe and 95 prelude si). he went on how great the s2k was
along with his hondas. when we part he says, "let me know when you want to sell the car." i reply, "that won't happen" lol
him: oh look. there's a car that's similar to yours

One of my coworkers saw me getting in my car. She comes up, surprised, and asks, "What is this?!" I reply, "It's a Honda S2000." Then she replies, "Wow, this is a nice car. You know, usually it's old people who are driving cars as nice as this one. I'm real proud of ya."

backstory:
my car is yellow, my hood and trunk are CF and have no clearcoat left
i walk outside to see two ladies taking pictures of their daughters in front of my car, girls had to be about 10 and were all giddy over the car. funny thing is, 10 feet away sat a porsche 911 turbo and a carerra 4

OK so I haven't owned my s2000 for a couple months now but I can't get away from this forum. I did receive a comment this morning about my current car (Black Evo VIII)
I stopped at the gas station to grab a bite to eat and a guy comes up and asks about my car. I tell him what work is done to it and what power it's making, and this is his response:
"Wow! Driving that thing must be like you're a virgin being offered a free full service ride from a bear-hooker while being hunted by Sarah Palin."
I start laughing and just get back in my car and drive away.

at a stoplight a guy asked me if it had a v6, I told him no its a 2 liter 4 cylinder. He looked a little let down and then asked how much power it makes, I said it came from the factory with 240 hp. His eyes lit up and said holy s#@* .
I was leaving my sons kindergarten orientation and as I was pulling out of the parking lot a family with to boys were across the street and on spotted my car and started yelling WHOA look at that car.
I was at a friends house and his 9 year old son hadn't seen my car yet since I got it, his mom went to take him to his grandparents and as soon as he walked out the front door he yells WHOOOAAA!!! is dad said oh yeah he hasn't seen your new car yet.
Kids love this car lol.

Driving last night as I came to a stop sign "top down " ... couldn't not see I only heard a voice say this ...OMG THAT CAR IS NICE ...I WANT ONE ....lol ...as I drove off I laughed and though ...yep I said the same thing yrs ago ... I'd still say it this day if I didn't own my beloved S2000

In my first couple weeks of ownership I've already gotten:
-"Is it new?" (it's an '04)
-"It looks like a BMW"
-"It looks like those Mazdas"
-"I didn't know Honda made a convertible" (this one from a self-proclaimed Honda lover)
-After I say S2K's get mistaken for Miatas, friend says "Oh it's much better looking than a Miata"
-High school girl yells "you're cute!" as I drive by with the top down.. Of course it was because of the S because girls don't just up and yell at me every day.
I always can't wait to hear what people are going to say, cracks me up every time.

The ex-husband of my girlfriend saw my car for the first time and with an air of condescension said, "Not a great design and it's pretty simple mechanically." He drives a rusty 1988 Saab with 350,000 miles on it that's held together with chewing gum, gaffer's tape and baling wire.
