Coworker comes by my office and sees my desktop background of my car.
Him - O man, pretty sweet background, is that yours or...?
Me - O yeah, took that in my garage, nothing special.
Him - Well, when I get my BRZ we can cruise. I'll show ya what a new age sports car will do!
Me - Did you say sports car? Wait wait, do you have Youtube on your phone!? Haven't you seen..!?

Drove an older-gentlmen of a co-worker for lunch.
He gets out and says, "If only my back can handle getting in/out of such a lower car. Enjoy it while you can, when you hit my age... hahah."

After dropping off a tux last weekend in Springfield, MA. I drive by a guy walking the sidewalk with a backpack on and something in his hand. As I pass I realize it's a megaphone and he says into it "nice car!". Me and the gf were laughing.

a guy and i were got into talking about our cars and future mods (he has a vw golf). he said things that just didn't make sense
me: my next mod will be coilovers, most likely bc racing or fortune auto
him: dude, you're going to ruin your handling. get airbags instead, they will handle better
me: well you can also adjust dampening on the coils
him: dude that's too much work
me: you turn 4 knobs
him: and then you have to get it realigned!
me: ...
me: i need to polish my headlights
him: just get new ones
me: ...they cost at least $700 for a pair, not to mention it would be hard to find a pair in "new" condition.
i just need to wet sand them, polish it, and seal them
him: yeah, i would just get new ones
him: dude you need a twin disc clutch
me: my car is all stock
him: you still need one
all of his comments/suggestions are completely serious too
