I walk back to the s, top down, first day of ownership, three kids (~10 years) standing by the car. Middle kid reaches over the sill, prods the passenger headrest.

Me: Hey kids, look but don't touch.
Kids: Just wanted to see what it feels like.
Me (Senses oncoming surreal dialogue): Like a seat?
Kids: No, different. What does the red button do?
Me (Maybe not, can handle this one - confident and sauve): Starts it.
Kids: Is it smooth?
Me (No wrong, maybe they were talking about the OTHER red button): Um ..... no?
Kids: Does it launch?
Me (Head spinning slightly): Um ..... maybe?

Kids wander off. Each one touches the front guard as they go.

Tonight at the gas station a guy next to me nodded and said sweet Porsche. I smiled and said thanks...

I guess this isn't saying a whole lot about mods, but when I show my car (I have a full body kit, Volks, a Mugen Hood, BBK, Coilovers, etc...) everyone always goes to the Muz Saddlebag

That one made me laugh...

Well this didn't happen to me, but here it goes. I have my car parked in my grandparents garage for the winter season, well yesterday was beauitful out and my grandpa had the garage door opened, the ups delivery lady comes to the house and says,
"Thats such a beautiful car, why arent you out driving it?"
My grandpa said, "Because its not mine."

Not sure what she thought from there, but I was geeked to hear about the little comment when I got out of class last night

I was out with about 9 other S's for the October drive with the Atlanta club. We passed some lady cutting her grass on the front lawn. She was cutting next to the street and when we passed by she was so lost in space just staring at our cars that she rammed right into her mailbox. Funniest thing I've seen.

there was an episode of Fastlane w/Bill Bellamy, Tiffany Amber Theisen and they were trying to figure out what kind of car was at the scene of a crime. three kids saw the same car. kid A said, it was a Miata. kid B said it was an s2000. and kid B actually new it was neither. that episode fueled all my friends calling my car a glorified Miata.

my same friend always tells me that the s2000 would have more respect if it was badged as an Acura.

A kid asked me if my car could spit flames out like in the Fast Furious movie.

No one has ever said anything funny, really. Mostly just asking me what kind of car it is and telling me how much they like it!!
