Haha that's so great...but it also reminds me how few people know about the S2000, which is kind of special. Although other cars, say the Z06, are "better performers," everyone would know a corvette if they saw one, but it's rare for someone to recognize an S2000. I think there's something special about this. It almost makes the S2000 like an exotic.

Oh yeah, and why would someone think that you were just saying you have a Honda 2000? And don't you hate when you ask someone what kind of car they have and they just say the make?

Me: So, what kind of car are you drivin'?
Them: Oh, a Dodge.
Me: Uh...a dodge what? Are we talkin' Viper or Stratus here?
And it's usually the Stratus, because no Viper owner is simply going to say they own a dodge, unless they want to mess with you.

Yeah I love the fact that people are so taken back by it when they see it. I'm having the front emblem shaved right now to kinda add to the mystique (sp?) of the car. I love the "what is that???" reactions

If it's nothing special, why bother describing it? When people ask me how I can survive with just the S I don't tell them, "I also have a 98 Dodge 1500 quad cab 4x4." I just tell them, "I've got a truck too." It's not "the Dodge". It's not "The 4x4". It's just a dirty old truck.

I was stopped at a light and a gentleman pulls up in his bmw x5 and says, "Hey dude, nice car who makes it? I tried looking at the back but it just says S2000 (ricks badges). There is no insgnia . " i reply " Honda makes it and thanx alot."

I was stopped at another light a guy in an ACURA rsx pulls up and asks me who makes my car? i almost said the company that owns the company that makes yours but i didnt i said honda and complemented him on his car.

then at pep boys ( checking out my slow leak ) the guy kept asking me for the make and i said its a honda s2000 and then he said okay a 2000 honda what ? i reply "s2000" he says okay but what model then i say " its a model year 2000 honda s2000." he then says " That`s freaky."

I go to this drive up pizza place pretty frequently. There's a guy there i've seen a few time. The first time I roll up he says "That's a sweet ride man." I say thanks and I roll out. I got back like a week or two later and he says "That's a sweet ride man."
Didn't he see it last week too?

I guess he sees tons of cars every day.
