today I took my boss for a ride. He's a motorcycle guy, but definitly appreciates the car. We were first at a red light, with clear road ahead, and a 45 mph speed limit, so I floored it at the green.

Redline shift from 1st to 2nd, stays in VTEC. Hit 50mph in 2nd, so I skip-shifted to 4th and let it stay.....

"dude, you almost popped a wheely!" (referring to the 1st -> 2nd shift)

I thought, "well, kinda". but then, coming home from work today, I was in a similar situation, and I was paying closer attention. He's right! The rear squats so much on that shift it does almost seem like you are going to pop a wheely!

one night at the local IHOP near the Walmart HQ, these Wal Mart businessmen were checking out my car. So they asked, "who makes this?" and I replied, "honda".. they were speechless and just stared at my car.

I have also gotten the comment about if it was the new miata.

For whatever reason, I have never had one bit of confusion as to what my s2k was----even here in the middle of Oklahoma (i.e. nowhere). From day one, it was "oh my gawd" and the like. Nobody has "dissed" it. And, because it has a modified air intake that makes a bit of a whine (like a supercharger) at idle, nobody has "messed with me" either.

Thanks,
Richard

My wife teaches a third grade class. One of her students, upon seeing a picture on the "S" on her desk, commented "Wow, it's a Porsche!" Kids are great!

A little boy about 5 years old said to his mom as I drove by:"I want a toy like that mom". His mom replied."That's not a toy!"
I thought to myself. "Oh yes it is. A big boy toy".

My funniest one was,
"Was that car in a james bond movie?'
Me, "No, I don't think so."
them, "Yup, that was the car. Wow"
