Okay I know this is going to be a stupid question...
I have no idea what an IRL is. What is the IRL... Is there going to be a bunch of S2000 riding around a race track, or those formula 1 cars?

OMG what a STUPID question! Lol just kidding, I kind of think it's Formula 1 because they show the quick clips of an F1 car. I don't really have any information to back this up but I'm only going by what I think.

IRL == F1 is now the funniest thing I have ever heard!
The owner of the Indianoplis Motor Speedway (Tony George) decided he wanted more control over Indycar racing. So he started his own leauge. Their perview called for lower HP cars and strictly oval-track racing. The remaing leauge changed it's name to CART. They continued in both oval and road courses. However, the popularity of open-wheel racing in general has gone way down in lieu of NASTY-CAR racing.
F1 cars are all built by individual auto manufacture's and every team has it's own custom cars. CART and IRL both use a very limited number of chasises and engine choices. There is more freedom than NASCAR, but it is still a very limited field in terms of diversity.

okay...so this is in the not-so-funny dept, but I hafta share.....
I'm at a light and a girl in a civic pulls up into the right turn lane next to me, stares at my car from front to rear and screams "BITCH!" before she turns right.
