This doesn't involve an S, but it's a classic.

The year is 1956; I'm seventeen. I volunteered to give my buddy's dad a ride to work in my 1947 Hudson. His car was a 1955 Chrysler. Anyhow, he gets in and when I start out he says, "Oh this is one of those old fashioned cars you have to shift, huh?"

HELLO!!

Give him a ride in your S - if you think his heart can take it.

Gerry

Wouldn't work. He hated my B too. He's more the "Caddy" type.

I doubt he could get in or out of my S. He's not quite as mobile as he used to be.

There's a guy at work with a base Boxster. Everyone says, "Yeah man, Andy's car goes FAST. It's a Porsche you know."

Well, we'll see about that (:

Oh man, I can't wait to get my S2000

Something funny already happened to me in one though.

I went for a test drive w/my girlfried, and she likes sports cars, she's great, she tries to remember horsepower numbers and what car is what and stuff like that. Her favorite car is the Viper and when she sees one she admires the hell out of it, she loves cars, but she's only a girl and we all know most girls are a bit "car challenged" .

Anyways back to the story, I test drove an 2004 S2000 the other day, we took it out for a 10minute ride, top up, top down, she had a blast. So we decide to head back to return the car to the dealership, I messed up and drove into the "pre-owned" section, we pass by another S2000, a black one, and
she says "Hey look! there's a Miata, like the one we were looking at a few months back..."
me: (granted, we're INSIDE an S2000)
her: (sees the expression on my face) "isn't that...a ....Mia...ta..."
me: no it's an s2000....like the one we're driving right now.....
her: OH! why does it looks different?
me: I guess because they made a few cosmetic changes to the '04....

I stilll love my girl, she really is the best, just a bit "car challenged"

From a friend's 13 year old daughter

"Wow! Your car is really cool. Will you adopt me so I can have it when I turn 16?"
