where is the CCR group at?
If you have Google Earth installed, you can double-click on the Placemark link below and it will fly you to CCR's location. If not, you will need to install Google Earth first (available at http://earth.google.com).

Link to CCR on Google Earth

(Somebody let me know if thie above actually works. This is the first time I've tried posting this kind of link.

If that's too much information , then we're located in Macon, on Lower Boundry Street.

There is an F20C and F20C1, for sure. The F20C1 is USDM and I believe the F20C is JDM; I have no idea which one other markets got (or get).

A thicker head gasket would lower the compresison rather than raising it. As far as I know the only difference is the ECU, but if somebody has access to IPB's for both cars ...

It could be that the power ratings are different in different markets even though the motors are identical. I wonder if Billman knows for sure.
Sorry, my mistake... I meant the USDM has a thicker head gasket.

I'm pretty sure that's what it was that results in a higher compression ratio in the JDM F20C.

Don't you want to play? We're bringing the MR2.
I may come out later in the day, but I won't be there in time to register and compete.
Seriously, I'll be sleeping in.

Yea, I did a little checking, and the F20C apparently has a compression ratio of 11.7:1, due to a thinner headgasket. It appears that this adds from 3 to 7 HP over the F20C1. The torque curve should be a tiny bit fatter too.

Mr. RED MX5, should we tell them the inside joke about the MR2?

honda_s2k_racing, I've run a few SCCA Southeast Divisionals at Ozark, AL. Is that near you?

Oh, well.....back to your regularly scheduled programming. Sorry to hijack the thread.

My S2k has been most often mistaken for some kind on new Porche model.

When I was getting out of my car recently an older fellow was just about to get in his car nearby. He is looking at the car and says, "my grandson would sure look good in that". Almost speechless, I said "OK". Then he looked closely at my car and asked,"that's a Honda?". Then he said, and I will try to spell it as he pronounced it, "I thought that was one of them BOOgotty's or somethin".

At a red light a guy in a SC300 (same car my brother has) yells over to me:

"Hey! That things got 240 horse, right?!"

"Yeah"

"You should chip it, you'll get a lot more power!"

"I don't think..."

"Yeah, you need to research that"

(light turned green)

"OK, bye"
