At the dealership picking up my new '06, I was inspecting it (with the new S2000 checklist found on these forums) and some guy driving nothing notable must've seen me because he shouted out; "Stop being so damn fussy!"
The sales guy called him a jerk, I just thought it was funny - I was the one going home in a brand new S2000

Some women never cease to amaze me... I was hangin out with one of my friends outside his apartment when a smokin hot chick walking her dog strolls by, stops, and says "wow, nice car!"... before i get a chance to reply she takes another step forward and says "Oh.. too bad its only a honda." ONLY A HONDA!!! OMFG!! i politely chuckled and refrained myself from completely going off on her. After all she was really hot. Anywhoo, why do some people insist that no matter how steller a car is if its a honda it must suck big time? I just dont get it.

There have been plenty of instances where people say "That car is so cute! It matches you so well!!!" Or times when I'm driving with the top down and people either stare, say "nice car," or decide that it would be a good idea to want to race me (from beat up cars to ricers to trucks).
It was kinda weird a couple of days ago though... I usually play my music relatively loud to try and drown out (avoid) people trying to talk to me when I'm coming to a stop light. There's this old, red Toyota at the light. I also usually purposely stop either short of the first car's window or a little ahead to avoid people talking to me.
Over the music, I heard screaming. Something along the lines of "HEY!!! NICE CAR!!!" I ignored it and then I heard it again. Obviously it was the car next to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see the guy flailing his arms trying to get my attention. I notice there's a little boy in the front seat looking as if he were admiring the car so I turned down my music, look over and he says "Nice car!" I reply with "thank you." The guy says "I wish I had a car like that instead of this stupid car!" And he gave me a thumbs up. Right before the light turned green, he screamed excitedly, "It's all you!!!"
That was the weirdest encounter I have ever had w/ this car. I don't think I've ever seen anyone work so hard to compliment a car.

Driving along Downtown Reno in the middle of the day, top down at a stop light.
Some guy apparently doesn't take the crosswalk and starts walking toward my car (I'm like 2 or 3 cars from it). He shouts out, "Your car has no roof!" At first I'm like He continues on. "You buy a car and it doesn't have a roof?!" So I finally played along with him, "But it feels good!" and raise my arms in the air. He started laughing and before the light turned green he said "Nice car, though."

I got lots of nice comments on the Silverstone, but now that I have the Rio, I'm getting more - all good. Mostly things like "hot" and "sexy"! I assume they are talking about the car.
